The most horrifying landscapes of the iPhone 5’s new Maps program.

The Hoover Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric rollercoaster.

Technology is constantly improving, but people remain remarkably dumb. So they do dumb things, like decide to build an entirely new maps program when a good one already exists, and build in a 3D function no one needs despite the fact that pictures shot from rapidly-orbiting satellites are almost always at an inhumanly weird angle. This is why Google Maps has Street View, which is shot from normal human heights. But all that real information isn't as fun as pretending that the world is as magically f-ed up as Apple's maps would imply, which is why there's an entire Tumblr devoted to the subject.
