Another painting I recently did for an art show at work. It's really fun to break out the paints and get back at traditionally. This and the other piece below with the flames were both done in gouache and in the case of the other one I used a few digital tricks as well.

Here's a few recent pieces from the Tuff Puppy art show at Nick. It was fun stepping outside of the normal boundaries and doing something a little different, I love to work traditionally and this was a great excuse to dust off my paints. This one is gouache with a touch of digital tweeking.

Well, here it is the final FOP title card. These are always fun to do, most times I am involved in the conceptual stage but this time I was handed a rough sketch that the creator had done. For me the most fun is always working out the type...I pride myself on creating new and hopefully interesting type treatments. Color was done by my good friend Kristin Donner.

One of my many duties on the show is to work out poses from the storyboard of the main characters doing zany things. This is also one of the most enjoyable parts of my job as well, although sometimes when it involves 3, 4 and 5 characters it can get tricky. But the more time that I spend doing this the better things look when they come back from overseas. Here's a cluster of poses I've done over the last few months or so....

One of my many duties on the show as a Character Designer is working out main character poses from the boards. Our Storyboard guys are ALL amazing (Butch Hartman, Fred Gonzales, Dave Thomas and Rudi Bloss). These guys have a LOT on their plate so it's my job to come in afterwards and clear up any poses that need it as well as throw in a few more straights and curves to help push the visual style. it's the most challenging aspect of my job and probably the most fun part as well. At some studios it might even be considered character layout, to me it's just pure fun.
